Previously we mentioned being nominated for the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Student Team Award.
We had the pleasure of going to the ceremony last Thursday 31/03/11 in the Barnes Wallis University building. It all kicked off around 6 p.m. with University representatives speeches.
When it came to the awards we were all really nervous, as were up against several groups entered in the same category, including a few medical teams and another textile one.
It was a huge shock when it was announced that Made in Manchester won the first prize of £500! They also gave us a huge checque which was rather hard to carry round.
Thanks Pricewaterhouse Coopers! and thanks to everyone who supported us and bough our prints!
when we get the checque, drinks on us guys!

Bangers and fash- pictures!!
Guys what a night.. Thanks to everyone who made it to Deaf Institute last night. It was BUZZING!
We sold a lot of prints and met some amazing people.. Big thanks to all of you!
The whole Made in Manchester crew made it to the event and set up a stand right next to lovely ALL TROPICAL t-shirts and BANGERS AND FASH bag stand about 7.30 p.m.
The event kicked off about 8 and attracted many artists, dj's and generally people who were looking for a night of fun. We got chatting to artists from Manchester, whilst bopping away to some atmospheric tunes . The place got pretty much rammed by 9 and people were wandering round, between ground floor where all the stands were set up, basement floor where you could see pictures of some interesting artists and top floor where a fashion show was about to take place.
At 10p.m. BANGERS AND FASH presented a selection of unique, printed t-shirts from different artists, on the catwalk upstairs during a short Fashion show. Funny enough, a few of Made in Manchester girls got to model on stage as well! Shame we couldn't get the prints on stage too!
Here you can see four out of seven lovely Made in Manchester gals enjoying a nice cold pint! We needed it after all the setting up..
Some people, more then others, loved our prints so much that they wanted pictures with them.
And again, some of Made in Manchester crew, working hard! :)
The event finished pretty late, but we all enjoyed it lots. Hope everyone who came enjoyed it too!
If you are looking for some more pictures they should be up soon on BANGERS AND FASH official website http://bangersandfash.co.uk/
Thanks to you all, who supported us and thanks a lot BANGERS AND FASH, it was a pleasure!

On Friday the 18th Made in Manchester, Trinkets and Kandy Diamond packed all their precious products and ventured into Buxton to support wonderful Bownus girls in raising money for charity at the Buxton Palace.
The event was filled with auctions, wine and bouncing on the bouncy castle- all for charity. We have again received a lot of great responses so thanks to everyone who purchased our prints!

Made in Manchester nominated for PwC Student team working award!
I think we have all heard about PricewaterhouseCoopers and the Student Team Award, but for those who haven't- quick catch up!
PWC decided to sponsor annual Student Team Award for students who worked as a group and who managed to get some outstanding results and award them with £500. To enter the competition we had to fill in an application form and explain how we have excelled through the enterprise project.
Just a couple of days ago, we have been notified by email that our team has been successful in being short listed as a finalist of the Student Team Working Awards for The University of Manchester Curricular category!
The ceremony will take place on Thursday 31st March, in the Barnes Wallis function suite, Sackville Street Campus and will commence at 6.00pm.
This is very exciting for us, so keep your fingers crossed!
With love,
